James “Jim” Lady

Of Counsel

Prior to joining McCabe, Trotter & Beverly, P.C., Jim was a partner with Mullen Wylie, LLC, in its Charleston office where he represented mostly community associations in construction defect litigation. Before that, he was a partner with Haynesworth, Sinkler & Boyd, P.A. in its Charleston office, where he represented mostly general contractors in construction cases and CSX railroad and Amtrak in personal injury litigation.  Jim brings over thirty years of litigation experience to McCabe Trotter’s clients.

Jim attended the Citadel before serving in the U.S. Army. After serving, he attended the Marshall-Wythe School of law at The College of William and Mary where he led their American Bar Association Moot Court Team. After graduation, he clerked for the Circuit Court in Fairfax, Virginia.
