Valerie Garcia Giovanoli

Managing Shareholder

Valerie’s practice is focused primarily on litigation, construction law, real estate development and general counsel to community associations.  Her passion for serving community associations led her to proudly serving on the board of directors for the South Carolina Chapter of the Community Associations Institute as well as its Blue Ribbon Community Committee.

Prior to joining McCabe, Trotter, & Beverly, P.C., Valerie engaged in criminal litigation as an Assistant Attorney General in South Carolina, handling post-conviction relief and appeal matters throughout the state.  She was also a criminal prosecutor for the Broward County State Attorney in Florida.

Valerie completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina where she majored in experimental psychology and minored in criminal justice. She then went on to receive her juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law.  She enjoyed a semester of study at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Law to study Intellectual Property Law.

In her free time, Valerie enjoys spending time with her husband, John and her boxer pup, Flex. She also enjoys weight lifting and other fitness activities, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
