Meet Our Attorneys
Ryan Oates advises developers and community associations regarding developer transitions, covenant and contract interpretation, catastrophic property damage, and insurance claims. He also litigates construction defect claims, Fair Housing Act and Americans with Disabilities Act cases, debt collection and other complex contractual matters. Ryan’s practice encompasses all aspects of construction law, such as representation of owners, general contractors, developers, manufacturers and subcontractors in areas of construction defect litigation, mechanics liens, contract and bond litigation, contract interpretation and claims negotiation.
Prior to joining McCabe, Trotter, & Beverly, P.C., Ryan practiced with an insurance defense litigation firm. While at said firm, Ryan handled complex construction and contract matters, as well as personal injury defense.
Ryan completed his B.A. in History with a minor in Political Science at Clemson University. Following undergrad, Ryan attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was active in appellate competitions with the Moot Court Bar.
In addition to his legal work, in his free time Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his Clemson Tigers.
